New Online Mutual Exchange Register Launched
Tenants First Housing Co-operative has been working with other social landlords in Aberdeenshire and Moray on a new system to make it easier for tenants to find another tenant to swap properties with. This is part of the common housing register project we have also been working on.
This means if you are currently a member of the Co-operative you can register your property online for free and this will allow you to search for other tenants who might want to swap with you. The other good news is the system covers over 150 Landlords throughout the UK so even if you are looking at moving away from the area this will help you also.
The system, Apply 4 Homes House Exchange which is available at www.apply4homes.houseexchange.org.uk, went live on the 10th January 2011. You then need to register on the site to get full access to the information although you can search for basic information without registering.
Please note that our own current mutual exchange board will remain in operation until 31st January 2011 at which point it will cease to operate. Anyone that is currently on this register will have to re-register on the Apply4Homes House Exchange website if they wish to do so.
