Care Commission

Care Commission Inspection Grades Published

The Co-operative’s sheltered housing services in Aberdeenshire are regulated and graded by the Care Commission in the same way that the Housing Regulator grades the Co-operative as a landlord.

The Care Commission awards grades from 1 (unsatisfactory) to 6 (excellent) for three different parts of the service – the quality of the service, the quality of the staff providing the service and the quality of the management.

Within each part of the service, the Care Commission graded the Co-operative against two quality themes, but only awards the lowest of the two grades as the overall grade for that part of the service.

The Co-operative were awarded a grade 5 (very good) and a grade 6 (excellent) for the two quality themes in each of the three categories. So overall, we were awarded the following grades:

  • Quality of Care and Support: Grade 5 - Very Good
  • Quality of Staffing: Grade 5 - Very Good
  • Quality of Management and Leadership: Grade 5 - Very Good

The full inspection report will displayed on the notice boards at all our offices and sheltered housing developments, is available from www.carecommission.com or you can download a copy below.
