Community Grant Fund Scheme
Our vision of the Co-operative goes beyond just being a landlord. We believe that the Co-operative should be a positive force in our communities and we show our commitment to this in a very practical way through our Community Grant Fund.
Community groups or organisations which operate on a “not-for-profit” basis can apply for up to £250 from the Fund. Applications must be for specific projects which benefit one or more community within the Co-operative area.
Projects funded by Community Grant Fund during 2009-2011
- Peterhead JogScotland for medals and promotion for a running event to encourage people to be more active
- Culter & District Pipe Band: towards the cost of Pettigrew Pipe Chanters for their novice juvenile pipe players.
- Park Street Resident Association: towards the cost of purchasing new kitchen utensils for social events.
- Disabled Persons Housing Service Aberdeenshire:towards costs of refreshments at the launch of Houseability.
- Sheddocksley Community Centre Playgroup: towards the cost of purchasing playgroup road safety equipment, Walk-a-dile.
- Arbroath Allotment Association: towards the cost of purchasing a reconditioned mower and strimmer for use on the allotment and in the wider community.
