Repairs & Maintenance
The Property Management Department looks after the Co-operative’s housing stock. We ensure that the properties provide a safe, secure, cost effective home for our members. This is shared responsibility. We expect our members to treat their homes with respect and report any faults that occur in it to us. We will repair these faults within defined timescales, depending on the urgency of the repair. There is a list that shows which faults the Co-operative is responsible for, and which you are responsible for, which you can download below.
We have a legal requirement to ensure that all properties with gas are checked at least annually, but we need our members co-operation to ensure this is done.
Our Property Management Policy defines the above standards, which you can see in our Policy Library section.
The Department also has long term plans for all of our properties. These plans identify when we expect to replace larger items in your home. Items like Kitchens, Windows, Roof. This allows us to calculate our costs for the next 40 years, ensuring the future of the Co-operative.
