Difficulty paying your rent?

If you are finding it difficult to pay your rent, please contact your Housing Officer at Tenants First as quickly as possible. It is much easier for us to help you if you contact us before you owe a lot of rent.

You may be entitled to Housing Benefit to help with your rent. This is a scheme managed by your local council. Whether you are entitled to Housing Benefit will depend on your income, the number of people living with you, and how much rent you have to pay. If you think you may be entitled to Housing Benefit, or you can't afford your rent, ask Tenants First Housing Co-operative or your local council about Housing Benefit for some advice.
