Customer Service (April 2011)

We have recently reviewed our Customer Care Policy and our Customer Care Charter. A small working group was set up to review the documents and consult with all Co-operative members. We also asked some of our contractors and other partners for their views.

We had well over 200 responses to our questionnaire and lots of helpful and constructive comments. We have revised and updated the Policy and made the Charter more straightforward. We are also considering some of the additional suggestions for improving our services such as changing opening hours and improving communications.

Overall, 95% of those who responded thought we dealt with customers consistently and effectively. We also asked members how they would prefer satisfaction to be measured and the majority would prefer smaller more frequent surveys on specific topics, or home visits.

Housing Management Service Standards (Oct 2010)

The Housing Management Section has service standards that were formally approved by the Housing Management Sub Committee in 2008. The Service Standards detail the outcomes we are aiming to achieve in the day to day running of our services.

The attached report tells you how well we have performed against each of the standards during the financial year 2009/10. The Service Standards are due to be reviewed in September this year. We are pleased with the results for 2009/10 and have achieved good performance against the majority of the standards. We feel as a team we are providing a good service to our members. We do recognise that we could improve in some areas such as garden inspections.
